Obituary of Arthur Edward Ryan

Arthur E. Ryan, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Crouse. As per Arthur’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

She is survived by his two sons, Christopher Ryan of Rensselaer, NY and Kevin Ryan of Sanford, NC; four granddaughters, Megan Kirkpatrick of New Mexico, Allison Ryan of Ogdensburg, NY, Samantha Protano and her husband, Tony, of Virginia, and Alora Ryan of Watertown, NY; his brothers, Charles Ryan and wife Nancy of Schroon Lake, NY, Jerry Ryan and wife Majorie of Saratoga Springs, NY, Daniel Ryan and James Ryan, both of New York State; sisters, Dorothy Green and husband Keith, Bonnie Goggin and her husband Martin, and Lynn Demczar and her husband Steve, all of New York State; his sister-in-law, Linda Ryan of Half Moon, NY and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Arthur was born on March 21, 1940, in Albany, NY, the son of the late Charles and Rita Dubuque Ryan. Arthur graduated from Bethlehem Central School in Delmar, NY and worked as a correctional officer, retiring from Ogdensburg Correctional Facility. Arthur married Joan Gray in 1959 in Canaan, CT.

Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and the companionship of his dog Nikki.
